Studio Sickan

Studio Sickan is owned and run by Joakim Lindberg and is located in Malmö, Sweden. The studio’s aim is to create a comfortable and simple recording environment with equipment plugged in and ready to go. This promotes the creative flow and allows for testing different ideas without too much resetting.

There is no control room, this allows musicians, engineers and producers to maintain close contact during recording. Besides the live room at 80 sqm there are also a 25 sqm isolated room, a 6 sqm vocal booth and an amplifier booth. The studio has a large selection of amplifiers, instruments and analog synthesizers.

The music is preferably recorded analog and live, either with the curtains closed and the candles lit or in the warm daylight streaming in from the studio’s tall windows overlooking an abandoned old railway yard.
